The Nightingale Community Hospice Trust, based in Lancaster Road, relies solely on fundraising to keep its work going. The hospice offers a clinic service and support and advice groups on different forms of cancer and is staffed by nurses and volunteers. Now its staff have teamed up with Edmonton and Southgate Cycle clubs for a Big Bike Ride which will be the first of a series of events to be organised for National Cycle Week. All funds raised from this event will support the hospice whose mission is to support people affected by cancer.
