Charity Blues Night

MAPS and Chestnut Tree House gives emotional support to families.

Losing a baby at childbirth or having a child with a life limiting condition is traumatic and it really is hard for parents and families to accept that fact. Charity institutions such as MAPS (Midwives and Parents Support) and Chestnut Tree House gives practical and emotional support at important times in the family’s lives. MAPS was set up by Pam Parsons OBE and Chestnut Tree House is the only childrens hospice located in Sussex. Both rely on grants and donations to continue to provide care and need for financial assistance.

To help them continue their work there is a blues night on the 16th of June (opens at 7.00pm) in the Martlets Hall featuring Kit Holmes and The Crossroads band UK to raise vital funds for the organisations. The event is backed by the Burgess Hill Community Festival and all profits will be going to both charities.

Tickets cost 12.00 (10.00 concessions) in advance or 14.00 (12.00 concessions on the door) and are available from the Martlets Box Office or call 01444 242 888 or online viawww.snowdropmusic.com.
