A charity fun day to raise money for autism sufferers has been cancelled.
Organisers Jay and Lisa Mullaney, whose son Macauley, two, has autism said the fun day and evening disco could no longer go ahead because of a mix-up over arrangements with the venue. They were intending to use the day to raise funds for Reality – a community support group for autism sufferers – and the Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children.
Louise Sowinski, who was set to host the event, said: “Jay and Lisa are totally devastated, they have put so much effort in to making the event a huge success not just for their son but for all autistic children throughout Leicestershire. Jay and Lisa would like to offer their apologies to everybody involved with the event.”
