Charles Schwab Cup Champ to release 3908 charitiable contributions

SONOMA, Calf.
— The 2009 tournament marks the 20th Anniversary of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, and as the event celebrates two decades, tournament officials are pleased, to have returned over $400,000 to area nonprofit organizations, which brings the cumulative giving total to $1.8 million. “The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is a wonderful event that showcases Sonoma County and all of the wonderful things that we have to offer through national television coverage on the GOLF CHANNEL, said Sonoma County Board of Supervisor Valerie Brown. Additionally, the tournament provides an important economic boost to our businesses and non profit organizations”. The Charles Schwab Cup Championship will host it’s annual Giving Back Breakfast on February 12, from 9 — 11 am. Charity recipients will receive their charitable donations and a catered breakfast by Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn, host hotel for the tournament. The Road to the Charles Schwab Cup will crown a season-long winner Oct. 27-Nov. 1 at Sonoma Golf Club in Sonoma, CA.
