TRAVELERS BRINGS CHIPPING CHALLENGE TO BAY HILL FOR ARNOLD PALMER INVITATIONAL FROM MARCH 23 – 27, 2011
Fans Have Chance to Chip for Charity and Win a Pitching Wedge or iPod
WHO:
Travelers, a leading provider of auto, home and business insurance is bringing its Chipping Challenge to the Arnold Palmer Invitational beginning Wednesday, March 23, through Sunday, March 27, at Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando.
WHAT:
Arnold Palmer Invitational fans can take part in an interactive experience that includes taking a golf shot at a floating green in the shape of the iconic Travelers red umbrella.
For every hole-in-one throughout the week, Travelers will donate $100 to Camp Boggy Creek, Floridas Hole in the Wall Camp, which is part of The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps (nonprofit, residential summer camps and year-round centers serving children and their families coping with cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions). Every fan who scores a hole-in-one will also win an iPod shuffle or a new Titleist pitching wedge.
The Travelers interactive experience will include an area where fans can take a souvenir picture posing on the front cover of Golf Digest.
The Chipping Challenge, which originated at the Travelers Championship last June in Cromwell, Conn., helps Travelers share its love of golf with fans on the course while supporting a tremendous charity.
WHEN:
Wednesday, March 23 Sunday, March 27, 2011 beginning at 9:00 AM EDT
WHERE:
The Chipping Challenge will be located in the Arnold Palmer Pavilion near the 18th hole.
