Bayou Drive. The Friends of the Larose Library will hold a book sale, “Bag of Books for a Buck,” on Friday at the library, 305 E. Fifth St. Library visitors can fill a grocery bag with books for $1. Friends of the Library fundraiser proceeds often help supply library branches with arts-and-crafts materials, magazine subscriptions, new DVDs and more. Flower Pot Painting Workshop for teens, 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at the Gibson Branch Library, 6363 Bayou Black Drive. “Fireworks” anger-management classes for ages 18 and up, offered by the Bayou Council on Alcoholism, will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday and May 21 and 28. Limited space available. To enroll in the class, visit the Bayou Council on Alcoholism office, 504 St. Louis St., Thibodaux, with the $150 enrollment fee, payable in cash or money order.
