“Red, White and Bright,” the first ever summertime Bonza Bash benefiting the Seattle Humane Society, is coming up this weekend, and there is still
time to purchase to attend this unique and exciting event. Every Bonza Bash is a special occasion. It is modeled after a rural Australian tradition, the Bachelor & Spinster Ball (or, B&S’s as they are known), which features a weekend of revelry in the remote desert, miles from civilization, complete with a black-tie gala. (You can read more about the B&S tradition .) Locally, Bonza Bash began as a birthday party for three Australian ex-patriots who met at work. While not situated quite in the middle of the desert, they felt a bit removed from their home country, and wanted to recreate the spirit of the B&S experience here in Seattle. Since that first party in 2005, the event has grown to be a gala affair, and combines a spirit of fun and revelry with an opportunity to dress up, socialize, and dance the night away. And I do mean dress up: while this summer event is not black tie (like the previous Bonza Bashes), the dress code is still summer fabulous. (Snap!) Registering and sending out invitations is remarkably easy: Just use , and it will walk you through everything you need to do. (And if you’d rather just register on your own, just head over to the Shindigg site to register the regular way.) Hope to see you there! Login below to post a comment.
