Imagine having stiff muscles that make it difficult for you to walk. Imagine not being able to hold a pen because your arm is weak. Imagine drooling and not being able to talk because you don’t have control over your facial muscles. These are just some of the symptoms that people with Cerebral Palsy, or CP, experience. CP is a group of neurological disorders that affects a person’s movement, balance, and posture. It is a lifelong condition that doesn’t have a cure however with continuous treatment, people with CP can lead better lives.
Early intervention program for kids with CP, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and other CP treatment programs can be costly. For this reason, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore will be holding CPAS Charity Dinner 2023: Shine Like Stars on August 18 at the Marina Bay Sands to raise funds for the different services and programs they give to people with CP.
