SeaWolves outfielder Joe Tucker brought in the first run of the night on a double to deep left.
The second run of the second inning scored on a double play fielder’s choice. Erie manufactured another run in the third on a Diek Scram groundout. Brennan Boesch doubled in two more runs in the fourth with a rip down the right field line, and then scored on a single by Ryan Strieby. Diek Scream then singled to plate two more runs to give the SeaWolves a 7-0 lead. Brad Corley got the Curve offense going with a solo home run in the fourth to bring Altoona within six.
Erie would continue to extend their lead in the sixth adding four more runs on only one base hit to extend the lead to 11-1. In the eighth Erie put up four runs for the third time in an inning to put the SeaWolves lead at 15-1.
