One of the world’s favorite football stars, David Beckham (pictured left) has accepted a 100 000 cheque on behalf of UNICEF, donated by the Rangers Charity Foundation.
Ibrox skipper Barry Ferguson (pictured right), the Rangers Charity Foundation champion, handed over the cheque to UNICEF goodwill ambassador, Beckham, at Wednesday’s wintery game between LA Galaxy and the Series A superstars at Ibrox Stadium.
‘The work of the Rangers Charity Foundation benefits thousands of people in Glasgow, across Scotland and throughout the world, showing what a great charitable spirit we have at Rangers. We are very proud to be associated with UNICEF and I am looking forward to visiting the project in India later this year to see first hand the work being done to help children in local communities,’ Ferguson said.
The Rangers Charity Foundation champion told David Beckham they plan to raise a further 300 000 to aid UNICEF.
