Sunday’s TNA pay event was highlighted by two big surprises: a) champ showed up and b) kept his world title after getting himself into
a world of trouble the previous day. On the day before the event ironically called “Hard Justice,” Angle was arrested in the parking lot of a supermarket in suburban . He was charged with violating a protective order granted to his girlfriend Trenesha Biggers (aka TNA’s Rhaka Khan) and harassment along with possession of a syringe and the human growth hormone Hygetropin. He pleaded not guilty to all charges, saying he was not “stalking” Biggers and had a prescription for the drug. He was released on bond with a hearing set for Sept. 15, which of course allowed him to travel to and defend his crown. So in spite of what must have been a most trying day last Saturday, its all the more surprising that Angle managed to focus on his title match Sunday as he pinned to remain champ. However it remains to be seen what, if any, actions TNA takes with regards to Angle. TNA’s Don West has been given the pink slip (why is it always pink) as color commentator Taz will take his chair. West will stay in TNA in another capacity.
