Natural disasters can destroy everything in the lives of the people affected by them. They take people’s homes and belongings and often can even take lives. With nothing left untouched, many people struggle to recover from these disasters and gain back what they had before. Providing help after natural disasters can give entire communities the support and resources they need to recover. Seeing all of the people who are willing to help can also provide hope that many victims of natural disasters have lost. This support is necessary for people in these circumstances to be able to recover and lead fulfilling lives again.
The Jannette Jaco Memorial Endowment was created in order to support organizations that help communities impacted by natural disasters. To raise money that will go towards these organizations, they are holding their Disaster Dash 5k.
