Does your dog lack energy Seem stressed out Needs to stretch his body Well, if yoga works for you then why not for your
dog, too Yes, that is right–yoga has gone to the dogs. Barking Buddha Doga in Seattle offers yoga classes that allow people to practice yoga with their dog. Its focus is to create a positive connection with your pup by incorporating massage and gentle stretch while practicing your yoga and spending time with your dog. New yoga names are used, like Woofing Warrior and Muttley Mudras to reflect the class so that yogis see their doggies as partners in their practice. Doggie yoga classes all began when Brenda Bryan, licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor, was asked to provide dog massage at a Humane Society charity event. Her services were so appreciated, she was asked to teach a dog yoga class at Seattle-King County Humane Society in Bellevue, WA. Brenda combined all her passions, including her love for animals, and Barking Buddha Doga was formed. Brenda’s book “Barking Buddha Simple Soul Stretches for Yogi and Dogi” has just been released. Other upcoming Barking Buddha Doga events include: • May 27th: book signing at Lake Forest Third Place Books • June 24th: book launch party at Rock Bottom with The Seattle Humane Society and City Dog Magazine a To find out more about seminars, demos, or teacher training programs, visit Brenda’s website at: http://www.brendabryan.net/dog-yoga.html Other resources: http://www.youtube.com/watchv=ouccHJYDP7I
