Dogs Teachers and Charity Highlights June 810 Home Stand

Every Monday home game this season, the Pensacola Pelicans are allowing canines into Pelican Park.
The first game of the series against the Cats allows free admission to all dogs in attendance on June 8. Exciting doggy treats and prizes await the dogs and owners. Tuesday, June 9 is Teacher Appreciation Night at Pelican Park! Teachers and school faculty may purchase a Buy One Get One Free ticket for the Pelicans game on this night only with a school ID. Many fun things are planned for the evening, including your chance to win a bucket of money. The Pelicans are donating $5 for every teacher in attendance. At the end of the game, one lucky teachers name will be drawn and will win the money to be used for their classroom! The more teachers in attendance, the larger the purse amount will be. The Pelicans first Community Charity Night is planned for Wednesday, June 10. The night is tabbed “Knock Poverty out of the Ballpark” with proceeds benefiting the Alfred Washburn Homeless Center. Fans can pre-purchase their tickets to benefit the organization by calling 436-5900.
Youth ballplayers are invited to free baseball clinics Tuesday and Wednesday mornings provided by Chevy and the Pensacola Pelicans. The clinics will focus on the fundamentals of baseball including hitting, fielding, and pitching. Experienced instructors will lead the clinics, and family members can attend as well. Check-in for the clinics run from 8-8:45 a.m. on the day of the event. The main program runs from 9 a.m. until noon, immediately followed by a snack.
