Dr. Seuss characters braved freezing Detroit waters for the annual Polar Plunge.
People dressed as The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2, three amigos, three penguins, a chef, a pirate, two bananas, a bunch of M&Ms and a cowboy wearing Speedos all took a cold dip in the frosty 35 degree Detroit River.
The Dr. Seuss characters took part in the Polar Plunge to raise funds for the Special Olympics team of Michigan.
