Lions Befrienders, a voluntary welfare organisation that reaches out to vulnerable and lonely seniors in Singapore, will be organising a Charity Amazing Race event to raise public awareness of such elderly persons living in our community in a fun and interactive way and also to raise funds for the 6 Senior Activity Centres it now runs.
The event will be conducted in an Amazing Race style with games stations as checkpoints distributed along four different routes island wide. Participants will have to accomplish tasks assigned at each checkpoint in order to receive clues to proceed to the next checkpoint. There will be an equal number of checkpoints between the four different routes.
A unique feature of this race is that participants will be required to interact and complete assigned tasks at certain designated checkpoints alongside seniors whom are beneficiaries of the programmes run by Lions Befrienders.
Details of the event are as follows:
Date: 13 January 2013 (Sunday)
