EAT Detroit: Good Food, Great Purpose

Go on a delicious food crawl and help change a person’s life.

Calling Detroit foodies! Imagine trying various cuisines from all over the world, such as Italian Mediterranean fusion, French, American, Spanish, Lebanese, Pan-Asian, East African, all in one night. Doesn’t that make your mouth water? Now, visualize yourself entering differently themed restaurants from one with a modern and upscale setting, to one with rustic and brick-lined walls, to another one which is an accessible and neighborhood friendly food truck. Doesn’t that sound amazing? This is exactly what will happen when you join EAT Detroit on June 18. You’ll get to taste three specialty small plates and 1 signature craft cocktail made by chefs from over 15 amazing restaurants. Best part of this event is that not only will you fill your tummy, you also get to help SAY Detroit, an organization that “provides pathways to success for Detroiters in need” through various programs such as a free family medical clinic, a housing program, and a youth after-school motivational learning center.

EAT Detroit showcases our city’s diverse culinary scene with a one-night only foodie experience to benefit our city’s neediest. Enjoy tasting dishes and craft drinks at Detroit’s top restaurants, and help the initiatives of SAY Detroit that provide pathways to success for Detroiters in need.

While wearing your official event wristband, you’ll get access to participating restaurants, each serving a tasting menu, and no bill ever arrives. Attendees are also welcome to dine from Waka by Baobab Fare food truck and enjoy a free water ice dessert — at any time during the event! — at the Detroit Water Ice Factory.

Walk between restaurants, or hop on shuttle buses for longer distances between Downtown, Midtown, and Corktown. Greeting you at each restaurant — and on the shuttles and route stops — will be our EAT Detroit volunteers, who’ll be ready to answer your questions. You’ll recognize them because they’ll all be wearing our official 2024 EAT Detroit apron.

EAT Detroit is modeled (with permission!) after World Central Kitchen’s Dine-N-Dash from chef José Andrés.

Mitch Albom, international best-selling author and founder of SAY Detroit, wrote this, “There are no random acts…We are all connected…You can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind…” One act of yours, can mean a lifetime of difference for another. Get your tickets to EAT Detroit here now and change someone’s life for the better.
