Jordan Rinehart, 13, fills out a valentine letter as brother Tyler, 10, works a puzzle at Kid Connection.
Bobby Rinehart counts on programs at Kid Connections to help his two children – Jordan, 13, and Tyler, 10. Kid Connections operates under the umbrella of Christian Children’s Fund. And it stands to benefit from changes in federal policy. During his presidential campaign, Barack Obama said he would expand White House faith-based charity efforts. “I feel like [Obama’s administration] it is going to help,” Sarah Grimes-Troutt said. The event coordinator for Kid Connections believes Obama is bringing back the Clinton years, which could be good for charities.
“We’ll quit having a recession,” Grimes-Troutt said. “[Obama] understands what a non-profit needs to be successful.”
