8,000 euros will be raffled PLANS are well advanced for the Family Fun Day being held at Ocean Village on Saturday August 29 between 10am and 6pm. The day is being organised by the Rotary Club of Gibraltar. Club President Raju Alwani says that he has been overwhelmed by the generous support received from so many organisations and individuals in Gibraltar. The main purpose of the day will be the official welcome to Nick Poole who will have sailed the 1,750 nautical miles from Jersey to Gibraltar in ‘Rozelle’, a small 18 foot Drascombe lugger. Nick is undertaking this intrepid voyage in memory of his son Ben, a Royal Marine, who died whilst on exercise in July 2008. The following programme may be subject to change.
