Submitted story • February 20, 2009 Irish United of Northwest Ohio is a newly-formed group from the local Irish community who have joined together
to support the non-profit community in Toledo. They have made the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank the recipient of their very first charity event. The group is planning an Irish event, Raisin’ O’ the Green, which will include dinner and an afternoon of Irish music from 3 to 7 p.m. March 1, at Manhattan’s Restaurant in downtown Toledo. Tickets are $25 each and include dinner, a drink and entertainment, which will include local Irish bands, dancers and bagpipers. The food bank services organizations in area counties including Sandusky County.
