Blue Rider ‘Fun Day’ EGREMONT – Blue Rider Stables will hold its 17th annual “Fun Day” event from 10:30 a.m.
to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at French Park on Prospect Lake Road in north Egremont. The event will feature pony and donkey rides, children’s games, including hay wagon rides, a bounce tent, face painting and bubble play, food and plenty of entertainment, including Jeffrey Folmer presenting an hour of rich ballads and songs at 11 a.m., Peg Hunt and Miriam Jacobs performing from 12:45 to 2:15 p.m., Roger the Jester performing at 2:30 p.m. and Berkshire Bateria performing from 3:30 to 5 p.m. There also will be a European Bazaar, with high quality offerings such as fine crafts, bath and beauty products, fine wines, and gift certificates from many area restaurants, spas, chiropractors and massage therapists. Admission is free, with a suggested offering of $5 per parked car. Proceeds go toward maintenance and feeding of the horses and other barn animals through the winter at Blue Rider Stables, a nonprofit organization offering therapeutic riding lessons for physically, emotionally and mentally challenged children and adults. Mac-Haydn’s ‘Wilbur’ CHATHAM, N.Y. – Fun, adventure and excitement are all in The Mac-Haydn Children’s Theatre final show this summer, with “Wilbur, The Not-So-Big, Not-So-Bad Wolf” performing Aug. 28 and 29.
