According to the World Health Organization, around “400,000 children and adolescents of 0-19 years old develop cancer,” most common of which are leukemia, brain cancer, lymphoma, and solid tumor. Most childhood cancers can be cured with proper medicine and treatment. The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF), is a top-rated childhood cancer-related nonprofit, whose purpose “is to reduce the side effects of current treatments, improve survival rates, and ultimately eliminate childhood cancer.” Through their Sunshine Project™, various life-saving treatments have been discovered to help kids recover from pediatric cancer.
On September 21, the runway will be filled not only with beautiful clothes, but with the hope and dreams of young warriors fighting the big C, as NPCF will be having Fashion Funds the Cure™ at SouthPark, North Carolina. Their signature fundraising event, proceeds raised will go to funding the organization’s life-saving projects.

There’s a quote from a mother of a 16-month child diagnosed with Wilms Tumor that goes, “I dream of the day when every child can be promised a cure. Yes, heroes come in all sizes, but the tiniest of heroes should be promised a full long life, too.” Help these tiny warriors live longer to fulfill their dreams. Register to the event here now.
