Former players scheduled to play golf in fundraiser

Michigan football fund-raiser for Mott Children’s hospital. Brian Griese and Steve Hutchinson will host their third annual charity golf tournament — Champions for Children’s Hearts — on May 17 at the U-M golf course in Ann Arbor. U-M Health System announced the expected attendees Friday. The list includes Jeff Backus (Lions) Mike Hart (Colts) Jake Long (Dolphins) Chad Henne (Dolphins) Jon Runyan (Eagles) former coach Lloyd Carr James Hall (Rams) former U-M quarterbacks John Navarre, Scott Driesbach and Elvis Grbac College Football Hall of Famers Anthony Carter and Tom Curtis CBS broadcaster Dan Dierdorf Braylon Edwards (Browns) Charles Woodson (Packers) and U-M coach Rich Rodriguez. There will be a gala dinner and silent auction the night before the outing, which benefits the new C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Women’s Hospital and the U-M Congenital Heart Center.
