Tell the driver you’re going to NIH. Information: (209) 476-3340 Fleming, a Stockton wife and the mother of two teenage girls, has been self-employed as a massage therapist and unable to afford private health insurance since she last had Blue Cross coverage in 2004. Husband Jabin Fleming’s job as an independent car hauler, offering spotty work in the past year, likewise does not provide health insurance.
Months before last year’s Neighbors in Health event, Veronica Fleming was aware of the growing lump and knew something was wrong but didn’t tell anyone. Staff at the one clinic to which she did turn – she couldn’t recall the name – told her they couldn’t help her, because she was not yet 40.
