Girls To Go From Football Boots To Car Boot 2009: Love Playing

Girls to go from football boots to car boot

“I LOVE playing football, but I know some children can’t do it – so we have to help.” The thoughtful words of Cauren Webb,
a member of Healing Hotspurs under-13s girls’ team, who have organised a charity car boot sale to help those less fortunate than themselves. The team has been finding ways to boost club funds to help with their running costs, but Cauren came up with the idea of helping others at the same time. Therefore, money raised from their car boot sale will be split evenly between the team and St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice in Grimsby. It will take place on Sunday from 8am at Haverstoe Park in Cleethorpes. Sellers must pay £5 for a spot and are asked to arrive to set up by 7.30am. Cauren, 12, who plays on the right of midfield for the team, said: “I know those in the children’s hospice might not be able to play football like we can. “I love everything about football so I know that it would be difficult if I couldn’t play.
“We just want to help them.”
