Until then, the organization’s staffers will be at the mall on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in August, from noon to 3 p.m., wearing bald
caps, as they encourage shoppers to register for the fundraising event. Shoppers can sign up right there and receive everything they need to participate on Sept. 17.
Jeff Freedman, founder of Small Army for a Cause, came up with the idea with his advertising colleagues, to honor the memory of his business partner Mike Connell, who passed away from cancer in November 2007.
