Hole-In-One Shootout will have a new look. The event will again be held over three weekends prior to the Nationwide Tour stop at Le Triomphe with qualifying rounds leading up to the finals on Sunday, March 22. And again, players will have the chance to qualify for a spot in the final round and hit the potential million-dollar shot. “We think that holding the qualifying rounds at different courses will make participation more convenient for all local golfers,” said Louisiana Open tournament director Danny Jones. “We’re hoping we can increase participation around the area, and we’ll still have the full weekend at Le Triomphe to start building up excitement for the Open.” Qualifying is open to anyone and no pre-registration is required … all players have to do is show up at each site. Participants may take as many shots as they desire each day for $1 each at a target green set up at each location, and the five closest shots to the hole each day qualify for the March 22 finals at Le Triomphe’s eighth hole.
