Group digs deep for charity

29th May 2009 PLATES of home-baked goodies were on the menu for staff of Easternwell Group yesterday.
The company hosted a Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea with about 50 office-based personnel enjoying a range of muffins, cakes and slices. Easternwell also hosted Biggest Morning Teas throughout its rig network which comprises about 300 personnel remotely spread throughout the Surat and Cooper Basins on 13 well-servicing rigs and six drilling rigs. All personnel donated a gold coin to be a part of the morning tea and additional funds were raised through further donations and the raffle of a Samsung 22-inch LCD television donated by Channel 7 Toowoomba. It is estimated the event will raise more than $2000 for the Cancer Council. Rachel Adams from Cancer Council Queensland presented at the morning tea in Toowoomba, discussing the best ways to lead a cancer smart lifestyle.
