HST, May 30, 2009 Low to host youth hoops clinic Professional basketball player Derrick Low will host a clinic June 13 at the ‘Iolani School upper gym. Low is a three-time Star-Bulletin state player of the year from ‘Iolani who just returned after completing his first season in France. Low will be assisted by another former state player of the year, Kyle Pape, and Low’s backcourt partner at ‘Iolani, Ryan Hirata. Players and coaches from the Hawaii Raiders travel team of current players will also be at the clinic. There are two sessions, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is open to boys and girls 8-17.
