Hernando Today Hernando Computer Club will present “Introduction to Computers with Windows XP,” part two of four, by Pat Turek at 10 a.m.
Friday, May 15, in the North Room of Grace Presbyterian Church, 8375 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill. Lecture classes do not require registration, but hands-on classes require preregistration. Opera Lovers Club will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at the Forest Glenn Retirement Community Center, 1431 Friar Tuck Lane, off Osowaw Boulevard, Spring Hill. The program will be a discussion of plans to purchase tickets to next season’s Tampa Bay Opera Series. New members and visitors are welcome. Nature Coast Decorative Artists meet at 9 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at the Weeki Wachee Senior Citizens Club, 3357 Susan Drive, Spring Hill. The next scheduled meeting will be held June 6, and the project will be Vicki Alley teaching an etched design on a heart-shaped candy dish and floral painted cover. An extra class will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 30, with Pat Otto teaching poppies in acrylics. Several workshops are held throughout the year. Monthly projects are designed for all skill levels with an array of mediums and surfaces. A brief meeting, skill building demo and monthly project are featured. The artists are affiliated with The Society of Decorative Painters. At its monthly meetings, the artists collaborate on philanthropic projects as well as projects to improve their painting skills.
