Hundreds Tackle Town Trail 2009: Hundreds Walkers

Hundreds tackle town trail

Hundreds of walkers took to the streets of Dudley for the annual trail of the town in aid of charity.
The young and old took part in the Dudley Trail which set off from Dudley Leisure Centre at 8am yesterday. Walkers had the option to choose a route of six, nine, 12, 18 or 26 miles with all of the routes taking in canal towpaths, disused railway lines, country footpaths and as few roads as possible. Among those putting their best foot forward were siblings Sam, Alison and Daniel Hanks and their friend Neil Yardley. The group were hoping to complete the 18-mile route. Old friends Linda Ward, from Himley Village, and Libby Presslie, of Himley Road, Gornal, both 58 were doing the walk for the 22nd year. Yesterday
