JESSICA PICKEN meets an extraordinary woman who refuses to let the illness slow her down MULTIPLE Sclerosis turned Geeta Vedhara’s life upside down &ndash but she refused to let the disease stop her. The 33-year-old, from Oaklands, Gosforth, was diagnosed with the condition 17 months ago, but is now more determined to live life to the full and enjoy new experiences. This summer she will complete a charity zip slide from the Tyne Bridge for the MS Life campaign. MS Life will be coming to the North East from June 12-14. Multiple Sclerosis is a common neurological disease which affects 85,000 in the UK.
