WHAT: THE INAUGURAL GLOBAL ADOLESCENT PROJECT CHALLENGE GALA. A star-studded, red carpet night of honors and entertainment benefiting The Global Adolescent Project, a nonprofit organization that helps educate, encourage, and empower Haitian teens. The evening kicks off with a cocktail reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction offering guests fabulous products, memorabilia and services. After dinner, the evening concludes with live performances by Beastie Boys DJ Mix Master Mike; yodeler Francelle Maria & Mathieu Leger; and other performances to be announced.

MORE: Dr. Nancy R. Sobel launched The Global Adolescent Project, G.A.P in July 2010 out of necessity, to fill a void a gap in youth servicesparticularly educationin post-earthquake Haiti. With a mission is to educate, encourage and empower at-risk youth in impoverished communities starting in Haiti and around the world. G.A.P. programs have evolved to address all that is needed for a student to do well in school, including nutrition, housing, clothing, mental health, and a local support structure of friends and mentors.
Elle Anderson, Founder and President of Elle A Events, is producing the event. Elle A Events is a full service design, production and coordination company based in Los Angeles. Elle has produced events for The Silver Spoon Gifting Suites, Oscar, Emmy and Sundance events, as well as for IFC, HBO, The NHL Network, and private performances by Prince, Linkin Park and Moby.
The City Drives Dan Catullo is a Board Member and Co-Founder of G.A.P. and Executive Producer of the event (along with The City Drive).
