Jennis Pushing To Help Sick Kids 2009: Caring Mum

Jennis pushing to help sick kids

A CARING mum is hoping that raising cash for a worthy cause will be child’s play &ndash after she organised Paisley’s first ever Pramathon.
Jenni Hendry, from Glenburn, has been a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for the last two years and was thinking of new ways to raise money and awareness of the charity. And, since she welcomed new arrival Corrie-Jane into the world nine months ago, she also wanted to find a way to meet other mums. So 26-year-old Jenni decided to combine the two by organising the Pramathon in Barshaw Park, Paisley. Jenni said: “I have volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for the last two years and became a parent nine months ago. As well as the walk around the park, the Pramathon will feature face-painting, various stalls, clowns, children’s games and even an appearance from PC Plum from the hit BBC TV show Balamory. Local actor Andrew Agnew, who plays PC Plum, will get the walk under way at 1pm.
Jenni said: “It won’t be a tough walk. Toddlers will be able to walk it pushing their doll’s prams.
