ADRENALINE junkies can help wounded servicemen by taking part in a fundraiser when it visits North Lincolnshire.
Jump For Heroes will see a team of four cyclists ride the length of the country, from John O’Groats to Lands End. Daredevils can jump out of a plane with an experienced instructor. All money raised will go to the Help For Heroes charity and organisers are appealing for members of the public to take up the challenge. The project was started by Reservist Paratrooper Arklay Purdie, 24, of Hull, who was serving alongside Lance Corporal Tom Neathway, of 2 Para, when he was badly wounded by a booby trap in Afghanistan last year. Mr Purdie said: “I think the general feeling of the public is they are quite willing to do something to help. “I wanted to organise something where the public could really get involved, instead of relying on celebrities.
“Each drop zone can take about 30 people and I think it will be a successful event.
