TROY &mdash A hair stylist will be holding a “cut-a-thon” event Sunday as a way to raise money for a national charity.
June’s Unisex Hairstyling, located at 2246 15th St., will be hosting the event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with all of the shop’s proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, said shop owner June Corina. Corina, who is currently in her 50th year cutting hair in the city, said that many of her customers over the years have had cancer and she thought that the event would be a good way to help them while celebrating the shop’s anniversary at the same time. Those interested in contributing should call 271-6667 to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, as slots have been filling quickly. There will be no additional cost for customers to get a haircut during the event. Refreshments and door prizes will also be available. You must be logged in to post a comment.
