Coralstown Kinnegad GAA will hold a field day next Sunday the 10th May at 2 pm to mark the 125th Anniversary of the GAA.
There will be underage football and field activities and everyone is invited to attend. Considering the first ever GAA match in Westmeath 121 years ago was played between Kinnegad and Delvin it is fitting that this afternoon of celebration in Kinnegad will surely involve descendents of those involved in that first match. Kinnegad’s Jim Rock honoured at Cathaoirleach’s Awards Jim Rock was nominated for a Cathaoirleach’s Award by Kinnegad Community Council and received his award at the ceremony in Belvedere house last Thursday from Cllr. Joe Whelan Jim has been instrumental in the massive build up of a thriving underage network in Coralstown Kinnegad GAA, has served as a coach in St Etchens and has been a community Garda in every sense of the word. He is to be truly congratulated on this great honour for himself, his family, Coraltown Kinnegad GAA and the entire Kinnegad community. Pride of Place again for
