Many a crime has been thankfully averted after some vigilant neighbors had seen the telltale signs of an impending crime and alerted the authorities. Yet owing to their surreptitious natures, there are certain crimes that are just hard to detect even by the most observant of us. Human trafficking is one of those crimes.
Which is why Eastlake Women’s Club (of Ohio) is holding a “forum to learn the signs of Human Trafficking and what to do (upon) encountering an instance”. It will happen on January 14, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm EST at Regovich Catering.
The event is officially known as the “Lake County Collaborative to End Human Trafficking” which will “teach the signs and responses (one) can take if upon encountering Human Trafficking”.
The organizers have been very concerned that the state of Ohio “ranks fifth in the nation for human trafficking cases”, a serious problem that the forum aims to solve. For sponsorship and/or partnership information, please contact Lisa Marcelli at [email protected].
