7:00am Saturday 9th May 2009 AN AID and Trade Information Fair will be held today in Freezywater.
The event, held in St George’s Church, Freezywater, will have talks from Enfield Fairtrade, Christian Aid and Traidcraft on the hour. People can learn how to support farmers and suppliers in other countries and see displays of Fairtrade products donated by local supermarkets and Fairtrade companies, such as Clipper and Cafe Direct. Visitors will also be able to recycle their old clothes, mobiles and printer cartridges at the fair and buy some goods. Today is Global Fairtrade Day and the start of Christian Aid week. Alongside the information Fairtrade refreshments donated by local companies will be sold in aid of the charity.
