Get involved As the final lap of Birmingham’s top charity trading company approaches, the team at Lloyds TSB has changed into top gear.
Lloyds TSB are moving up the rankings in the Great Trade UP after getting their hands on a week with one of the finest vehicles to come out of the Midlands &ndash the Jaguar XK. The Lloyds team made the trade with Jaguar Land Rover, in exchange for an overnight stay for two at the swank Callow Hall Hotel in Derbyshire. It takes the team up to eighth place in the tradeup league, which is still headed by the lawyers at Beachcroft. There are only two weeks to go in the competition. Vinderjeet Pandha, of the Lloyds team, said everyone there was fired up by the competition, even though she accepted it would be difficult for the team to catch up with the top levels of the league. She said: “It was a great trade to make, it’s a fantastic car and whoever ends up with it can have the option to upgrade to the supercharged version. It was them who contacted us through the hospital when they heard that we had the weekend in the hotel. We are all really looking forward to our next trade.” She said they might be going back to the hotel group they got the weekend in Derbyshire from, as they had heard they might be interested in trading on up.
The Great Trade UP has teams trying to swap up as high as they can from a single balloon. When the time is up the things they end up with will be sold, with all money going towards the new unit.
