Carden organizes Baldwin Beach cleanup PUKALANI – Carden Academy of Maui has organized a beach cleanup at Baldwin Beach Park from 9 to 11
a.m. Saturday and invites the public to join in. The event also will be a fundraiser for the private Upcountry school with students from kindergarten to 8th grade. Lunches from Hana Bay Picnic Co. will be sold for $7.95, with all of the proceeds going to the school. The lunch includes a sandwich, chips and a chocolate chip cookie. Contact Carden Academy at 573-6651 to order lunch. Carden students also will sell reusable shopping bags at the event for $7 for one bag, $12 for two bags and $20 for four bags. The goal is to rid the community of plastic shopping bags that can be harmful to the environment. Reusable water bottles also will be sold for $3 each. Jerusalem Market at Beit Shalom on Sunday KIHEI – A Jerusalem Market will be held Sunday at Beit Shalom Synagogue from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
There will be fresh, hot, sweet braided challah bread and falafel sandwiches for sale as well as baked goods, homemade crafts and gently used items.
