n BAMBINO BUDDY BALL: Bambino Buddy Ball of the Babe Ruth League has been officially organized in Connecticut and is looking for players.
The program is for male and female players ages 5-20 or are mentally or physically challenged or special needs individuals. The program makes allowance for a participating “Buddy,” who helps the player swing the bat, run the bases or catch the ball. Registration is currently taking place in chartered Babe Ruth organizations throughout the state, including Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford and Redding. If your town has no registered charter with the Babe Ruth organization, you can still sign up in the nearest chartered town. State wide, the 5-12-year-old players will play separately from the 13-20-year-olds. Towns are likely to start their seasons in early May and finish in June.
