Inflammatory bowel disease is not a very nice word for many Canadians and they choose to ignore it.
What those same Canadians don’t know is that this country of ours has the highest rate of occurrence for IBD with more than 200,000 sufferers. M&M Meat Shops, including those in Barrie, to raise awareness of this disease and to find a cure for two of its forms, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, will hold Charity BBQ Day on May 9. The event is in support of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC). The cost for a burger and hotdog, plus chips, will be $2.50.
