Kate and Gerry McCann Kate and Gerry McCann will attend an event on London’s South Bank today to publicise the plight of vanished tots’ mums and dads. The couple, from Rothley, Leics, recently marked the second anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance. The toddler vanished from their holiday flat in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007, just days before her fourth birthday.
The mum and sister of Katrice Lee, who was two when she disappeared from a Naafi shopping complex in Paderborn, Germany, on November 28, 1981, will also be present at the event.
