Monty Halls to appear at Old Leamingtonians fundraiser

FORMER Royal Marine Monty Halls, an Ocean Adventurer, Marine Biologist and recent star of his own BBC TV series Great Escape, is supporting a
Charity Rugby Festival and Concert at Old Leamingtonians RFC in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund and Combat Stress. A youth and senior rugby match, live music from the Territorial Army Band of the Mercian Regiment, the Sambassadors of Groove and a Fireworks Display are just some of the events at the festival on Sunday May 10. Halls will be attending the The festival at Old Leamingtonians&euro&trade ground at The Crofts, Bericote Road Leamington Spa, and will be bringing with him signed copies of his book which will be auctioned off to help raise money for the Army Benevolent Fund – the Soldier&euro&trades Charity, and Combat Stress. Halls may even play in the Veterans Tens Tournament. &euro&oeligI&euro&tradem really happy to be supporting such a great day for two great charities,&euro he said. &euro&oeligBeing an ex-serviceman they are both very close to my heart, as is rugby so it is looking to be a fun day all in all.&euro All donations made on the day are going to both charities to help soldiers and their families who need support. &euro&oeligWe are thrilled to be able to invite the public to this free festival and concert,&euro said Brian Canning, chairman of Old Leamingtonians.
&euro&oeligThere is something for everyone on the day and it has been put on in aid of such a great cause that we hope everyone who comes along will not only enjoy the day, but will also donate generously.
