MS Moonlight Walk

1500 people will descend on South Bank for people living with multiple sclerosis.

More than 1500 people will descend on South Bank at dusk on Friday October 19 for a 10km moonlight walk around the city, hoping to raise $250,000 for people living with multiple sclerosis.

Now in its 14th year, the leisurely 5km and 10km walks are a favourite among families, corporate teams, students and community groups and a few costumed characters. Brisbanes MS Moonlight Walk is an annual event, starting from the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank Parklands.

Its a fantastic event because literally anyone can take part, from mums pushing prams to school kids. Its also inspiring to see so many people living with MS taking part, MS Queensland Event Manager Julia Faul said.

Walkers take in the best of Brisbanes river, including the illuminated Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Story Bridge and lush Botanic Gardens before crossing the Goodwill Bridge to reach the finish line.

And the fun doesnt finish there; walkers will return to South Banks Cultural Forecourt for a celebration with live entertainment and prize draws. There is also a 5km Mini Moonlight Walk for those wanting a shorter distance.

This years walk is expected to be the biggest yet and raise $250,000 to fund support services for people with MS and research projects to find a cure, so get involved today!
