The Department of Conservation and Recreation announces National Trails Day events at Cutler Park Reservation on Saturday, June 6.
From 9 a.m.-1 p.m., members of the community are asked to lend a hand with trail improvements, including wooden boardwalk construction, trail clearing and erosion control. All tools, equipment and gloves will be supplied. Participants are asked to wear work clothes and sturdy footwear. Following the clean up will be a Healthy Trail Hike from 1-2 p.m. The DCR will introduce the Healthy Heart program. A DCR ranger will lead the hike around Kendrick Pond.
