has been born in Borehamwood when two community groups merged. Community Action Hertsmere held its official launch yesterday at the Community Shop, Leeming Road Borehamwood. The registered charity is comprised of Hertsmere Community Partnership (HCP) and Hertsmere Community Voluntary Support. HCP focused on various community projects, including after school club and a children’s activity bus. Its partner supported various voluntary groups, helping them to get funding, find volunteers and access services.
The new charity’s chief officer, Robin Charnley said merging the two saved resources and was made possible by a two-year grant from Hertsmere Borough Council.
