Hanover repairing traffic signals Repairs to overhead traffic signals are tentatively set for Tuesday, May 5, at Broadway and Eisenhower Drive in Hanover from
7:30 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. During that time, portions of the intersection and several turning lanes will be closed. Heavy traffic congestion is expected. Volunteers to clean ‘Elm’ neighborhood Volunteers will conduct a neighborhood clean-up project Saturday in a Gettysburg neighborhood designated as an “Elm Street Community.” The eight-block area – bordered by West Middle Street, Court Alley, Lincoln Lane and South Franklin Street – was designated an official Elm Street Community in June 2008, entitling it to at least $400,000 in grant money over the course of three years for area rehabilitation. About 30 volunteers, including residents of the neighborhood, will concentrate on removing large trash items from streets and yards from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Refreshments will be served at the beginning and end of the clean-up, and more volunteers are welcome to help.
