Men’s health issues can affect individuals, families, and communities, yet many conditions remain underdiagnosed or are difficult to talk about. Fundraising and community events can help raise awareness while supporting programs that encourage men to take action for their physical and mental wellbeing.
Movember is a global organization focused on changing the face of men’s health. Its work addresses major issues affecting men, including mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer, while encouraging conversations and action around men’s wellbeing. The 2026 Nike Melbourne Marathon will take place on Sunday, 11 October 2026, in Melbourne, Victoria. The event is one of Australia’s largest and most iconic running festivals, attracting approximately 50,000 participants each year and culminating in a memorable finish inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Participants can join the Movember Athletics Team and turn their marathon challenge into a fundraising opportunity for men’s health. Runners will be supported by a dedicated Movember cheer squad along the course and at the finish, creating an energetic atmosphere as they make their way toward the MCG. The event offers 21.1km and 42.2km distances, allowing participants to take on either the half marathon or full marathon challenge.
Applications are open from 1 November through 31 March, or until the Movember Athletics Team reaches capacity. By running with the Movember Athletics Team, participants can challenge themselves while helping raise funds and awareness for men’s health initiatives.
Join here and help change the face of men’s health, one kilometre at a time.
